Tangelo : Open studio figure drawing at the College of William and Mary

Every Thursday evening, from 8-10, William and Mary students, some members of the art faculty, and community members meet in the Matoka painting studio to draw from a live model.  The sessions are open to the public and it only costs $3/hr... a GREAT deal!  The atmosphere is casual and friendly... this is great opportunity for anyone who loves to draw/paint to work from a model without breaking their budget!

Here are a few pics of what everyone was working on this week!  Thanks to the Tangelo members for letting me post these!

This one is mine.... I've been trying to get a better understanding of portraiture.  His eyes are WAY to far apart... back to the drawing board!

Sorry, Zach that the image is out of focus.

So... what does Tangelo MEAN, anyway?  I looked around on the web, and according to dictionary.com and wikipedia, it is a cross between a tangerine and pomelo.  Can anyone clear this up for me?
