Portfolio Review 1: Drawing I and Drawing II: Keepin it in Perspective!

Drawing I and Drawing II started the semester studying perspective.  We took it slow and really focused on the basics... and got some pretty fantastic results!  We worked with gridded ground planes and focused on a true understanding of the meaning of the picture plane, eye level, station point, cone of vision, and scale.

3D Wire Projects

Here are some images of our first project in 3D Design at Thomas Nelson Community College. Students were asked to bring in a household item to use as a subject for a wire sculpture.  We started the project by investigating different ways of making joints with wire.  Students were asked to carefully consider positive and negative space and multiple viewpoints.  Another important consideration was to create contrast through areas of high density to areas of low density.
